Good people of West Parish,
It feels like summer today! It is HOT! The sky is blue, the grass is green, the flowers are bright and the sun is ablaze, keeping all of life on earth alive, growing and changing.
It feels to me like we are in the midst of a growing time – a time of processing, deepening and transformation. We continue our journey in the Easter season, while also holding loss and the world's chaos. Our faith invites us to deepen, to see, to name, perhaps to weep or rage, and then to proclaim our ultimate hope.
I don't believe these things can be effectively done in isolation. This is why we gather. To be human – to be the church!
