Good people of West Parish,

It was so good to be away for a few weeks, and it is so good to be back!

Today as I walked the halls of the church — looking at our bright bulletin boards, peeking out at the Permaculture Garden, looking in at our gorgeous sanctuary, imagining our soon-to-be refurbished playground — I was filled with gratitude.

Gratitude for the privilege of serving in this beautiful, sacred place with all of you.  Gratitude for your faithfulness and generosity of spirit.  Gratitude for our community that claims the building of God’s realm as our goal.

As racist tweets, chaos at the border and dire climate warnings swirled around us these weeks, may we feel grounded by God’s promises and also by ONE ANOTHER.

We are the body of Christ, facing the challenges of this life and this moment, together.

Thanks be to God! I look forward to seeing you all!
