Good people of West Parish,
How is your summer going?! How is your spirit? How is your heart?
When you receive this email, I will be relaxing on the shore of a little lake in New Hampshire, hopefully managing to keep my phone in a drawer, and my thoughts in the present moment. Hopefully I’ll be embracing the boredom of long hours free to watch the leaves against the sky, and the sunlight on the water.
For some of us, “boredom” may be the very real curse of isolation or loss, but for others of us, it can be a gift.
Boredom might feel uncomfortable or scary, but it can be healing! May we all find the boredom we need this summer!
But surely, you won’t be bored this Sunday when you hear the preaching of Jerry Greer!
