What were they so angry about?

Good people of West Parish -

Last week, I listened to Krista Tippett interview Claudia Rankine — she is a professor of poetry at Yale, author, and founder of the Racial Imaginary Institute.

The interview covered lots of ground, including how we talk about race with one another.

At one point Rankine said: “Anger is pain, in public.”

Which made me think of this week’s gospel reading, in which the people of Nazareth try to throw Jesus off a cliff.   Yikes!   What were they so angry about?

What is making us and our neighbors angry these days?   Join me for our First Sunday Worship as we explore these themes together.
