The Education Ministry is actively searching for a new person to begin in September. If you have a friend or colleague who has experience with young children, would like to work in a progressive Christian church, and would enjoy a 5-7 hr/week position, please encourage them to apply or to contact us for more information..

Bible Study Series: September 20

Over a six-week period from September 20 through October 25 we invite you to join Rev. Amanda Harmeling for this adult bible study. The Present Word program dives deep into God’s Word, exploring faith that pleases God, providing a review of the description of faith and an exploration of faith in action. We’ll meet Wednesdays 10:30 – 11:30 am in the Smith Purdon room.

Bereavement Group: September 18

Please join us for a six - week bereavement group for those dealing with grief. Led by Rev. Amanda Harmeling, we'll meet in the Parlor/ Library from 7 - 8 pm for six Mondays: September 18, October 2, 16, 30 and November 13, 27. We will reevaluate at the end of the six weeks to decide if we want to continue after the holidays.

200th Anniversary Celebration 

At this time, we are beginning the long process of preparation for West Parish's 200th Anniversary celebration in 2026. We envision the entire year of 2026 to be a celebration of WPC and its history and future, and we look forward to the participation of all! We have begun forming a 200th Anniversary Committee - Cindy (chair), Sandra, Mike, Ellen, Barbara, Steve, and Bev. We can always use more hands on deck, so if you are interested in more information, have ideas, or want to lend a hand now and then, please reach out to Cindy.

Preaching School - Starting October 1

Join us for another edition of Preaching School! If you were part of last year's group, join us again to dive into another scripture passage! If you are new to Preaching School, join us to experience a journey of prayer, reflection, research, theology and writing as we each deeply explore the readings for one Sunday. We will meet every 4-6 weeks from September though May; the first meeting is Sunday, September 24 after worship. Contact Katrina with any questions! 

Rides to Church

There are a number of folks in our community who would love to get to worship, but are no longer driving. If you are able to occasionally pick up someone, please speak with Katrina.
