A beacon of love. A voice for justice. A community of action.
Happy Easter, Good People! There are too many things that I want to highlight today, so I offer you a list...
Thanks to all of you who made Holy Week and Easter so meaningful! Readers, choir, communion servers, greeters, bakers, dishwashers – thank you! It was a meaningful and beautiful week, and Easter morning was marvelous. Thanks to each one of you for being part of our vibrant body of Christ! I hope that you are each finding resurrection hope in your own lives.
The last 24 hours has been harrowing as we wondered whether our nation would start a nuclear war or commit war crimes or kill more civilians. This uncertainty and chaos affects our bodies, minds and spirits. You aren't crazy if you are feeling exhausted, unmoored or unsettled today. Take care of yourself!
Don’t forget about the fabulous 200th anniversary party / 1920s dance this Saturday! Come in costume, or not – come and dance, or not – come and celebrate our community that has endured through 200 years of chance, change and joy.
This Sunday we will welcome six people as new members of the West Parish community! Please join us for worship and to welcome them all on this important spiritual step.
And finally, someone delivered some lovely flowers to the church last week, but there was nothing on the card! So if you were that person, please let me know so I can thank you!
