CHURCH CALENDAR
We continue moving through the gorgeous season of Advent, and also receive 12 new members! Please join us to welcome them and celebrate our community! Sunday School meets.
Join Katrina after coffee hour every second Sunday for an open discussion about some of the "big" topics of our faith! Come share your thoughts, beliefs and questions; all ages welcome. The next meeting is this Sunday, December 8 at 11:30 am in the parlor and we will discuss Christmas.
Order a poinsettia in honor or in memory of a loved one. The plants will decorate our sanctuary on Christmas Eve and can then be taken home or gifted. Order forms are here or on the table by the office. Please return them to the church office by December 11.
Come join us on Thursday, December 12, at 7:00 pm in Fellowship Hall for our Holiday Cookie Exchange. Please bring at least two dozen homemade cookies to share. Containers will be provided so you can take home your assortment of delicious treats in a festive container. Hope to see you there!
Please donate a new unwrapped toy and help spread joy this holiday season! A Target wish list has set up as a giving guide. Donations should not exceed $25.00 per item and can be left between December 1 and December 13 in the bin set up in the Fellowship Hall Alcove.
This is the Sunday of Joy! So wear your festive or "ugly" Christmas sweater, dress or shirt as we rejoice in God's promises. Choir sings, and Prayer Shawls will be blessed.
Calling all prayer shawl knitters! On Sunday, December 15, we will bless prayer shawls during worship and deliver them to Hospice House. Note: All shawls need to be washed and placed in a Ziploc bag (bags in shawl bin). Please put your name on your shawl so that we can acknowledge you. See this week's announcements email message for more details. Deliver completed shawls by December 11.
Join Katrina for an informal time to share your grief journey, especially as we move through the holidays. Everyone is welcome, whether your grief is fresh or you have been carrying it for many years. In the Smith Purdon Room.
Each year, we make Christmas cards for our elder members during coffee hour. Card making will continue through December 15. Children and adults: all are welcome to participate! As always, there are many cards to be made, and each one is deeply appreciated.
All are invited to a discussion group focused on prayer, meditation, and reflection. We meet from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Bring your lunch and join for as many meetings as you are able.
Knitters will be meeting on Thursday, December 19, at 7:00 pm in the parlor to continue our Prayer Shawl project.
Join us for our Christmas Eve services! Our Children's Christmas Eve service is at 3:30 pm and includes a spontaneous pageant geared for younger children or anyone who'd enjoy a 30-minute service with chaotic cuteness. Our Lessons and Carols Service with our choir and candles is at 5:00 pm.
