Welcome!
At West Parish Church, we believe Christian Education is a lifelong process. It is a personal and a communal experience of developing and living our faith. When education is infused with the transforming love of God, the reconciling message of Jesus, and the faithful presence of the Holy Spirit, it becomes a vehicle to change lives and to make a difference in the world.
All families are welcome - whether reluctant, shy, boisterous, squirmy, or skeptical. We welcome each person with open arms, as Jesus did. We seek to nurture spiritual life by passing on the sacred stories and faith practices of our Christian heritage, laying a foundation for a life-long journey of faith.
Sunday School is at 10:00 am on Sundays!
Nursery
NURSERY
Infants and toddlers are always welcomed in our worship services! If you prefer - nursery care is also available in a clean, colorful room. The nursery is staffed by trained, caring, responsible teenagers and adults.
Kids
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Wonder, learn, create, and play! Children attend the worship service with their caregiver for the first 10 minutes until Sunday School teachers bring them to class. There is a younger class, 4 years through 2nd grade, and an older class, 3rd grade and up. Children get to know and care for each other, hear sacred stories and then have times to respond to the stories with art, movement, and play.
Young Adults
CONFIRMATION
Beginning in the eight grade, confirmation is available as a year-long class with the minister. Youth explore Christianity throughout the year, and have the option to join the church as full members if they feel called.
Confirmation happens every other year. The next confirmatino class is 2023.
