CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR

We are seeking a skilled, confident and compassionate individual to serve as our next Church Administrator.   This position is the hub of church life: welcoming visitors in-person and online, supporting our preschools and renters, managing the calendar, producing print and online materials, recording financials, and supporting the ministry of our pastors and staff.   The Administrator needs to have outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to hold many details, and a keen eye for scrupulous editing of publications.   This role is also key to living out our church’s values of welcome and care, whether responding to a phone call from a grieving family, a visit from the fire department, or the needs of a church member. 

 

West Parish Church in Andover, MA is a progressive, active and historic Protestant church located adjacent to the beautiful West Parish Cemetery.  We are known for our garden that supports the local food pantry, our welcome of LGBTQ folks, excellent music, our work with the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club, and a commitment to justice and welcome for all people.  This position is 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, $25 per hour.

 

Requirements:

Minimum of a high school diploma; college degree preferred

Excellent English written and verbal communication

Excellent computer skills (Proficiency with QuickBooks, Word, Excel, social media, Constant Contact, Google docs, website maintenance, or the ability to learn quickly.)

High level of discretion over confidential matters

Experience with general office administration (filing, ordering supplies, processing mail, calendar management)
